Terms of Use

The rules for using Medoc.in: what Medoc is and isn't, your account, content you post, provider listings, paid plans and our responsibilities.

About these terms

These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and Medoc.in for your use of Medoc.in. By using Medoc you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Medoc. Providers who list a practice also agree to our Provider Terms.

What Medoc is, and what it isn't

  • Medoc is a discovery platform that helps you find and contact healthcare providers. We are not a hospital, clinic, pharmacy or healthcare provider, and we do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
  • Medoc is not for emergencies. In a medical emergency, call 108 or go to the nearest hospital.
  • Providers are independent. Your relationship for any consultation, test or treatment is with the provider, not with Medoc.
  • Medoc does not host video calls and does not collect consultation fees. These are arranged directly between you and the provider.

Your account

You must be at least 18 to create an account. Give accurate details, keep your password private, and tell us promptly if you think your account has been misused. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Bookings, enquiries and "Consult now"

Booking and "Consult now" requests are requests, not confirmed appointments. The provider confirms the time with you directly. Medoc does not guarantee that a provider will respond, be available or accept your request. Medoc does not charge patients a booking fee.

Content you post

Reviews, questions, answers and photos must be honest, lawful and your own. They must follow our Review Policy. You must not post:

  • other people's personal or medical information;
  • false, misleading, defamatory, abusive or hateful content;
  • reviews you were paid for, or reviews of your own practice or a competitor's;
  • advertising, spam or links to unrelated services.

You keep ownership of your content, and you give Medoc.in a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt and distribute it on Medoc and related channels. We may moderate, edit for privacy, or remove content that breaks these terms.

Provider listings and verification

Listings may come from public information or from providers themselves. We work to keep them accurate, but details such as timings and fees can change; please confirm with the provider before you visit. Verification labels show only what Medoc has checked, as explained in our verification policy. They are not an endorsement or a rating of clinical quality.

Providers can buy optional plans that add visibility and tools. Prices are shown in Indian Rupees and paid online through Razorpay. One-time plans remain active for the life of the listing unless the listing is removed for breaching our terms. If you were charged in error or a plan could not be activated, contact us within 7 days and we will investigate and refund where appropriate, in line with applicable law. Paid plans never change verification status.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse Medoc, including by scraping or copying listings in bulk, attempting to access accounts or systems you are not authorised to use, interfering with the service, impersonating others, or using Medoc for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

Medoc's design, software, text and branding belong to Medoc.in or its licensors. You may use Medoc for personal, non-commercial purposes and providers may use it to manage their listings. Nothing in these terms gives you any other right to use our intellectual property.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Medoc is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that Medoc will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that information on it is complete or current. Medoc.in is not responsible for the advice, treatment, services, fees or conduct of any provider. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Medoc is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Medoc.in against claims arising from your breach of these terms or from content you post, to the extent permitted by law.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Medoc and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts or remove listings that breach these terms or the law, or that put others at risk.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer protection laws, courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Grievances and contact

In line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, complaints about content or the service can be sent to our Grievance Officer, Grievance Officer, at hello@medoc.in. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days. For anything else, contact us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The latest version will always be on this page with its date. Continuing to use Medoc after an update means you accept the updated terms.
