Who these terms apply to
These terms apply to anyone who lists, claims or manages a practice on Medoc.in, in addition to our Terms of Use.
Accurate information
- Keep your listing accurate and up to date: name, address, timings, fees, qualifications and contact details.
- Only claim or manage a practice you are authorised to represent.
- Do not make misleading claims, guarantees of cure, or comparisons that breach the National Medical Commission's rules on professional conduct and advertising.
Verification
Documents you upload must be genuine and yours to share. We use them only to verify your listing. Verification is free, may be reviewed again when details change or after a report, and badges may be removed if details no longer match. Providing false documents will result in removal and may be reported to the relevant authority.
Bookings and patient requests
- Respond to booking requests, enquiries and "Consult now" requests promptly and professionally.
- Use patient contact details only to respond to that patient's request, and never for unrelated marketing.
- Protect any patient information you receive and handle it in line with applicable law.
Go live and video consultations
Only go live when you are genuinely available. Video consultations must follow India's Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, including identifying yourself and the patient, recording consent, and prescribing only as the guidelines allow. Medoc does not host calls or take payments; you are responsible for the consultation, its fee and follow-up.
Answering patient questions
Answers must be general information within your specialty, must not diagnose or prescribe without examination, and should advise a consultation where appropriate.
Reviews
You may reply to reviews professionally. You must not post or buy reviews, pressure patients to change reviews, or reveal a patient's health information in a reply.
Paid plans
Paid plans add visibility and tools as described on our features page. They are paid online through Razorpay and never change verification status. Featured placements are always labelled.
Removal
We may edit, suspend or remove listings that break these terms, receive repeated valid complaints, or put patients at risk. Where possible we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the issue.
