I've been feeling low and can't sleep properly for a month. Is it depression?

I've lost interest in things I used to enjoy.

Feeling low most days, losing interest in things and sleeping poorly for several weeks can be signs of depression, though stress, anxiety or physical health problems can cause similar feelings. It is treatable, and talking to someone is a good first step. Try to keep a regular sleep routine, limit caffeine and screens late at night, stay in touch with people you trust and get some activity each day. Please see a doctor or psychiatrist for a proper assessment. If you ever have thoughts of harming yourself, call Tele-MANAS on 14416 or go to the nearest emergency department.
